Bruce Savoy, the owner of Fine Art Forest, has been woodcarving full time since 1965. He carved his first wooden spoon even before that as a teenager.

Over the years, the majority of his carvings have been parts for furniture makers as well as architectural carvings for new homes and restoration projects. Carvings have gone to the Library of Congress restoration, and his picture frames surround paintings in New York museums. There is no end to the variety of items he has carved; they include fish and duck decoys, gun stocks, bedposts, picture frames, eagles and relief carved scenes.

His desire to market his own line of useful products led to the design of cherry and maple spoons. He soon added cutting boards with unique carved handles, bud vases, mirrors, walking sticks, and folk art carvings, all designed and made by Bruce in his shop.

These carvings are sold at fine craft shows in Pennsylvania and nearby states by Bruce and his wife, Mary. They can also be bought in the Fine Art Forest store in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and online.

Bruce is a member of the PA Guild of Craftsmen and the National Woodcarvers' Association.
